The Young Lives vs Cancer Foundation
Did you know that even in developed nations, one in four children still dies of cancer? It is a shocking statistic, which is why the work charities and foundations such as Young Lives vs Cancer do is so important. With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, there is no better time for us to help spread this awareness and take action to help increase the chance of survival for children when treated and provide vital support to both the young patients and their families.
The Young Lives vs Cancer Foundation provides facilities such as near-hospital temporary accommodation so families can stay close to where their child is being treated. It also provides vital financial support to help parents cope with the costs of travel for treatment, hotels, extra heating costs at home and more. These costs average nearly £700 per month extra for parents during their child’s treatment. Helping children and families to cope emotionally is also a big part of what they do, including helping to prepare for the unthinkable if the time comes.
The foundation encourages individuals, associations and companies to take action to ask for donations, and we at Rioned didn’t hesitate to get involved, donating the MiniJet to raise much-needed funds for this wonderful cause. So please help by bidding as much as you can.
Not Interested In The MiniJet?
You can of course get involved in other ways, and we encourage you to run your own fundraising activities, or even just make a donation to help out.
